Sandy works in partnership with her clients to assist them in identifying strengths and strategies for healthy functioning, using a variety of modalities to address depression, anxiety, relationship, adjustment and social functioning concerns.  Sandy assists individuals  and families with conflict resolution and communication concerns.  She works from the premise that profound healing occurs through the development of self-awareness.  This awareness allows us to address core beliefs, and self-defeating patterns, that may prevent us from living authentically and making healthy connections with others.

Sandy assists middle schoolers and teens in identifying and developing skills for self-regulation, problem solving and self compassion as they encounter normal stressors such as peer pressure, comparison (FOMO), negotiating relationships, and transitioning into adulthood.

Sandy's work with children and teens addresses emotional and behavioral concerns, and adjustment issues related to school, divorce, adoption and traumatic loss.   Typical stress and traumatic stress may result in behaviors that manifest in maladaptive ways that negatively impact our children’s experiences academically and socially.   Child centered therapy respects the child’s process and honors the child as an individual.. Our work centers on the importance of the parent-child relationship by including parents in order to strategize the best ways to support the child in all environments.
