Sandy works in partnership with her clients to assist them in identifying strengths and strategies for healthy functioning using a variety of modalities to address depression, anxiety, relationship, and social functioning concerns. Sandy assists individuals and families with conflict resolution and communication concerns. She works from the premise that profound healing occurs through the development of self-awareness. This awareness allows us to address core beliefs, and self-defeating patterns, that may prevent us from living authentically and making healthy connections with others.
Sandy's work with children addresses experiences of neglect, abuse and loss as well as adjustment to school, divorce, adoption and other life transition needs. Child centered therapy respects the importance of the parent-child relationship by integrating parents into the process, while honoring the child as an individual, and identifying ways to best support and respond to the entire family system.
